Volunteer at an Operation Christmas Child Processing Centre

A vital part of the Operation Christmas Child year takes place behind the scenes in the weeks that follow Drop-off Locations being open. It’s during this period that thousands of generous supporters donate their time to manually check hundreds of thousands of shoeboxes for safety and customs compliance before they’re sent to children in need around the world.

Volunteers share their experience…

A great experience for all the family…

“I took my wife and three boys to the warehouse in Oldbury.  We were going to do just the morning, but we ended up staying all day.  We all loved it and will definitely go and help again.  That place in Oldbury is like a little piece of heaven.  My boys had been learning about the love of God at kids’ church the Sunday before.  When we came back one of them said to me, ‘It was great to be able to send God’s love to children who need it.’  It was so great to hear my child say that.”

Prioritising safety

The health and safety of our staff, local partners, and beneficiaries is of utmost importance to us. We safely operated with comprehensive Covid-secure arrangements in our Processing Centres in 2020 without having to suspend activities at any time. We will continue to implement whatever arrangements are necessary and appropriate in November 2021 taking full account of UK government guidance.

Thank you for considering partnering with us in this way to bring ‘Good News and Great Joy’ to the world’s children.
