God created a beautiful world for us to enjoy—twinkling stars, a brilliant blue sky, and flowers in a variety of vibrant colours. He daily paints stunning sunrises and sunsets that never look exactly the same. Sadly, many people with cataracts can’t fully savour the glory of creation. Seom is a farmer in Cambodia who struggled because cataracts had stolen much of his sight. After having poor vision for years, he was thrilled to learn that a Samaritan’s Purse cataract team was coming to his community to provide free eye surgeries. Seom also heard the Gospel—and it transformed his heart. “I decided to believe in Jesus. I saw all the joy around me, and I saw Christ through the team,” he said. For £50, you can help send our surgical teams to restore sight and share the love of Jesus Christ with people who are walking in darkness. “For it is God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ” (2 Corinthians 4:6).
