Laiha struggled to raise her three children—all under age 5—after her husband died. “Life has been hard. Some days we would go without food,” she said. Samaritan’s Purse provided Laiha with dairy cows and goats and trained her in animal care and business management. She was able to multiply the herds and build a sustainable income for her family. Through the programme, our local church partners in Niger shared the Gospel and led discipleship training. “God is merciful. He brought Samaritan’s Purse into my life while I was suffering. I have found a refuge,” Laiha said. Your gift provides livestock, training, and other resources to help lift families out of poverty, reminding them that “the LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters” (Psalm 23:1-2).
