Thank you for making contact with us regarding volunteering. As you may already know, a small shoebox can have a big impact. What goes into the box is fun, but what comes out of it is eternal. We are delighted that you are interested in finding out how you can be a part of changing children’s lives all over the world in Jesus’ Name through the power of a simple gift with Operation Christmas Child.
Below you will find some information which describes how you can be involved in volunteering with Operation Christmas Child. Please review these three key areas and let us know which best describes you. We will then connect you with an appropriate team near you.
Are you available for just one, two or three weeks during the months of October and November, do you enjoy hands-on activity; ranging from organising the collection of boxes from drop-off points, and collection centres, to checking the contents ready for export in our processing centres? We’d love to hear from strong team players who recognise that we each have something to offer.
Are you available two or three times throughout the year and willing to organise your local church, school, or workplace to pack shoeboxes, liaise with your local volunteer Church or Community relations volunteers, and attend an annual Operation Christmas Child Project Leader information meeting to hear ideas to share with your church, school or group as well as staying up to date on how the Ministry is growing? We’d love to hear from supporters who are great at organising and coordinating, as well as working well with a wide range of people.

Connect Volunteer Teams
Our Connect volunteers work together in local teams to enthuse and equip churches and groups in their communities to take part in Operation Christmas Child by packing shoebox gifts. They also encourage local Christians to partner with us in prayer, to reach out in mission to their friends and local communities, and to sponsor The Greatest Journey; the exciting Bible discovery course offered to children who receive shoeboxes.
