Since 2013, Raising Families programmes have trained and equipped over 3,000 Churches to help transform the lives of over 60,000 families in Sub-Saharan Africa. Samaritan’s Purse is continuing on this journey of transformation by starting a new Raising Families programme in Zambia.
This programme aims to bring positive lasting change to vulnerable families in the ‘Copper-belt’ province of Zambia. The closure of the region’s copper mine in 2010 led to a crippling rise in unemployment, leaving many local families in poverty, with little or no source of income. By training and equipping 60 local churches in the province, 1,200 families can be helped to realise the gifts, skills and resources that God has given them, and how they can use them, to not only transform their own lives, but also the lives of others.
Together we will transform the lives of thousands of families through hundreds of Churches across Sub-Saharan Africa in the next three years.
