We urgently need your help to support our partners who are on the ground rescuing vulnerable orphans in the Ukrainian conflict zones. These children and their carers will be brought to Romania where they will be kept safe and cared for away from the atrocities of war.

Ukrainian authorities have requested support in saving the lives of the most vulnerable children of this conflict – some of which have been in the direct line of fire and whose lives and security have been in grave danger.

A gift of just £10 would care for one of these orphans for a day, providing food, clothing, toys, and a safe place to be looked after.

“It’s heartbreaking to hear the need — we have to make sure these children have a future and an education, and can grow up in a safe place,” shared James Brazier, Director of Ministry Advancement for Samaritan’s Purse UK.

Recently returned from a trip to the new children’s home in Romania, James shared how moved he was by the children he met. “When they opened the doors, the children ran at us because they wanted a hug – they were putting their arms up to be held. It’s amazing how joyful they were to see us.

Fight for Freedom Orphanage

The aptly named ‘Freedom House’ is just 25 miles from the border with Ukraine, and has been specially renovated for the children. “The facility is amazing,” shared James.

“We have a unique opportunity to show these Ukrainian children and their caregivers the love of Christ by providing for their physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs while they are in our care.”

“We pray that they will receive the Hope of Christ in their hearts and take it back to Ukraine when they return one day.”
