Hurricane Matthew killed hundreds as the powerful storm’s fierce winds and pelting rains hammered Haiti, clipped eastern Cuba, and then bashed the Bahamas. The deadly storm brought pounding rain and record-breaking flooding to the Carolinas, making landfall between Charleston and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. With our tractor-trailer units already stocked and ready to go, U.S. Disaster Relief teams are assessing affected areas to develop a response to help homeowners in Jesus’ Name.

Responding to the desperate need for relief and comfort following a 7.8 magnitude earthquake in northern Ecuador.





NEPAL – Earthquake

The magnitude 7.8 earthquake killed over 7,500 people and was the worst quake to hit the poor South Asian nation in over 80 years. Samaritan’s Purse were on the ground within 36 hours to assess the damage and bring relief.

LIBERIA – Ebola Response

Setting up Community Care Centres, Samaritan’s Purse worked in Liberia to respond to the unprecedented Ebola virus outbreak in West Africa.




VANUATU – Cyclone Pam

Cyclone Pam, a Category 5 storm, struck the island of Vanuatu, leaving devastation “as far as the eye could see.” Samaritan’s Purse provided shelter materials, clean water supplies, and cooking kits to help the island nation rebuild.




PHILIPPINES – TypHaiyanhoon Haiyan

Samaritan’s Purse worked closely with church partners in the Philippines to help families rebuild after Typhoon Haiyan.
