Human Resources Manager
Salary: £36 – £42k + benefits
Based Buckhurst Hill (close proximity to Central Line)
We are looking to appoint a dynamic and forward-thinking HR Manager, who is passionate about our ministry aims, to take the lead on the HR function for Samaritan’s Purse and also to support its sister organisation the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
Helping to shine a light on God’s plans and calling for others, whilst harnessing and retaining the best talent is central to achieving our mission, as is building an organisation that is well placed to embrace the current unprecedented growth rate it is experiencing, in a sustainable manner. To that end we place significant emphasis on our HR function and the value this can add to the overall success of our ministry.
As a HR professional you will have a good understanding of the environment in which we operate and the challenges we face to create effective people strategies. Your remit will involve coaching managers on leadership and structure, identifying and resolving key people issues, maximising individual and team performance and taking the HR lead during periods of organisational change, whilst bringing practical HR knowledge into every stage of the employee lifecycle.
This role will be part of the Senior Management Team and would therefore potentially suit a senior HR professional looking for a step up into a leadership position. With highly developed skills in resourcing, organisational design and conflict resolution, you will be a natural relationship builder with real vision and the drive and determination to bring about measurable results. Although experience, capability and Christian maturity with a passion for our ministry aims are more important than qualifications, it is likely that you will have a post-graduate qualification, or equivalent professional membership.
We offer an attractive benefits package including 28 days of annual leave in addition to UK statutory public holidays, pension scheme and life assurance.
Due to the nature and/or context of this post the successful candidate will need to be a committed Christian able to fully commit to our Statement of Faith.
