Here in the United Kingdom, babies born with congenital heart defects usually have surgery before their first birthday. But in countries like Mongolia, Bolivia and Uganda, where healthcare is inadequate, most children with heart defects will die before they reach adulthood. You can help save the lives of these girls and boys by supporting our Children’s Heart Project, which brings children to North America for surgery at one of our partner hospitals. These precious little ones and their parents are welcomed into the home of a host family who demonstrates Christ’s love in word and deed. By helping to cover the cost of airfare—which averages £1,800 per person—you can make it possible for a child to have lifesaving surgery and hear about the life changing love of Jesus, who “came to seek and to save the lost” (Luke 19:10, ESV).
