KING HEROD WAS SO THREATENED by the birth of another ruler that he ordered all male children age 2 and younger to be killed. To spare Jesus’ life, God told Joseph in dream: “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word” (Matthew 2:13). Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ knows what it feels like to live as an outcast. Today, millions of people worldwide have been forced to flee their homes due to war and conflict. They are outcasts in foreign lands and in desperate need of critical provisions such as food, clothing, and medicine.
