Decide how to help
SUGGESTED GIFT
In the desert of northern Iraq, there is a haven for families that were terrorised by ISIS. Tens of thousands of them had to flee their homes when militia invaded their towns and are still living in temporary settlements, years later. Samaritan’s Purse established Grace Community Centre to provide a welcoming space where they can learn valuable livelihood skills—like sewing, carpentry, and computers—that can help them earn a much-needed income. We have similar vocational projects for vulnerable people in countries like Liberia and the Philippines. As our team demonstrates God’s love through these programmes, we share what He says in His Word, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11). Your gift can provide materials, equipment, and the training necessary to help someone learn a marketable skill, find better job opportunities, and have hope for a brighter future.
