Disaster Response Programme Coordinator

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Programme Coordinator to grow and support our Disaster Response programme. This role is full time (35 hours per week) and based at our office in Coventry.

This position requires someone with excellent organisational skills, the ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships, and with a heart to serve Jesus. The post holder must have the ability to travel to different disaster response locations at short notice, with the flexibility to meet the demands of a role supporting the International Disaster Response team.

Key duties will include:

  • Develop and grow the Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) and associated relief programming for the UK.
  • Recruit and develop positive relationships with DART Members.
  • Coordinate onboarding and training of new DART Members.
  • Promote and grow the team through Church speaking engagements and professional networking.
  • Provide tours and educational talks on Samaritan’s Purse relief programming to visitors and students visiting the National Ministry Centre.
  • Coordinate the delivery of online and in-person training for DART Members, including organising webinars and in-person training events.
  • Manage an online training platform, monitor course completion progress, and follow up with learners.
  • Coordinate the deployment of DART Members; includes correspondence, ICT support, insurance, health monitoring, debrief coordination, and expense reimbursement.
  • Maintain inventory of relief supplies in the UK, and coordinate with the US counterparts for coordinated fulfilment.
