WHAT IS DART?

The Samaritan’s Purse International Disaster Assistance Response Team is composed of on-call, readily available professionals trained to respond within a complex international environment. In the UK we currently have over 60 DART members that are on-call, ready to deploy to any disaster around the world.

We are seeking to recruit Medical DART members that have a flexible schedule and availability to deploy immediately.  We need the knowledge and expertise that medical professionals bring alongside the heart to share the love of Jesus, as the Good Samaritan did in Luke 10. You will be caring for people who have lost their livelihoods, homes and loved ones in sudden disasters where the ability of their home country to respond has been overwhelmed.

You will be working alongside other medical professionals as well as teams of logisticians, programme managers, administration and security staff, in order to provide the highest level of care possible in the environment that you find yourself in.

Prior humanitarian experience in delivering quality programming in a challenging environment is desired. Medical DART members can be deployed to dangerous places, the living conditions can be poor and the work days long and hard. However, Samaritan’s Purse believes in being the first on the ground in order to serve and help those who have suffered through a catastrophic event in the name of Jesus Christ.
