Why not climb the Roof of Africa and help some of the world’s poorest people? Can you really think of a good reason not to go on this trip—really? Go and clean off your walking boots, buy some sun lotion and get ready for the trip of a lifetime!
At a height of 19,340 feet, Kilimanjaro is the world’s tallest freestanding mountain with spectacular vistas of the Kenyan plains. You’ll follow a 21-mile route with the same guides as you might have seen on the Comic Relief climb. Beginning at Marangu National Park you’ll climb through all of the diverse landscapes until you reach the summit after 6 days.
But wait! Before you can get the motivation to climb this beast, you need to be inspired-right? So before the climb, you’ll spend two days in the slums of Nairobi visiting the work of Samaritans Purse and their local partners. You’ll meet the men, women and children benefiting from the support you raise. You think climbing Kili will be an experience? It’s nothing like the life changing impact of spending time in Kibera, the largest slum in Africa.
Come see the lows of poverty and neglect compared to the highs of the amazing people overcoming deprivation and the tallest mountain on the continent. Walk with us, climb with us, and raise funds for women and children at the same time.
